Once upon a time, there was a very famous photographer named Ansel Adams. He is known as one of the best photographers who ever lived. Before he started taking pictures, his life started like this. When he was a youngin in California, he never wen to public school. He never fit in at school; when he was four, he fell on his face after a very brutal aftershock causing hyperactive disorder. He was home schooled by his aunt and his father. He didn't always enjoy pictures. when he was young, he learned how to read music and play piano. In the year 1916, his parents had given him his first camera, the Kodak #1. He would go to Yosemite every year from then to his death to capture it's fantastic pictures.
In 1927, Adams had taken his first professional photograph. It was Monolith, the face of Half Dome. He met this man named Albert Bender, who he befriended at once, who influenced his photography greatly. It wasn't easy for Ansel to switch from musician to photographer, but after meeting Bender, he changed to photographer pretty efficiently. Three years later in 1930, Ansel met the photographer by the name of Paul strand. His pictures inspired Adams to change the perspective of his pictures from the pictorial style to straight photography. In 1933, Adams made his first trip to New York. Once there, he met the photographer Alfred Stieglitz. He inspired Ansel as well to improve his photos. He stayed in New York until 1940. Adam's became a work-o-colic and became working everyday for 18 hours or more at a time. He became very ill from this and decided to travel back to San Francisco or Yosemite.
Over his years of a child being home schooled, to his life of a pianist, Adams has had a interesting life. He has helped and inspire millions of people around the world.
